1. Check whether the ball valve is in the fully open position.
After injection of grease, first check whether the diameter of the ball is flush with the inner cavity plane of the valve seat. If there is any difference, adjust the stop bolt on the actuator to ensure that the valve is fully open. Otherwise, once the valve is installed, it is impossible to judge whether the valve is in the fully open position.
2. Lubricating grease can't be injected into the valve.
(1) When the valve shaft (rod) is being fed with grease, the sealing pressure in the valve shaft (rod) shall not exceed 20.68 MPa. If it exceeds 20.68 MPa, check whether the grease gun is faulty and the outlet valve at the aperture of the grease gun is open.
(2) If there is nothing wrong with the grease gun, check whether the grease fitting is blocked. Slowly undo the grease fitting and install it at the aperture of the grease gun. Inject lubricating grease into the grease fitting. If no grease can flow through the grease fitting, it indicates that the non-return valve in the grease fitting is faulty. Therefore, the grease fitting should be replaced.
If grease can flow through the grease fitting, it is necessary to check the non-return valve located in the grease hole (The one-way valve is usually installed in the grease hole of imported valves.). Use special tools to screw the valve out for inspection. If any blockage such as the PTFE tape is in the valve, it should be removed. The valve should be replaced if it is seriously faulty.
If grease still can't be injected in the valve, tell professional engineers and site supervisors about it, and the manufacturer shall solve the problem on site.
